Is it true? Are we really taking a vacation? Friends, this Sunday is the last time The Sunday Shortstack will be serving up for the summer so come on out and holler with us while you can! We’ll be back SEPTEMBER 9TH for fun that never ends but we’d sure love to see you before we close up shop for a while.
It’s the first of the month, so you know to look for CLASSIC FLAPJACKS. To go with those, we’ve got ROSEMARY RHUBARB JAM, HOMEMADE BUTTER, HOMEMADE YOGURT & MAPLE SYRUP. There might even be lemonade!
It’s also a certain colonial holiday known as canada day and we’d like to acknowledge a couple things that we live by but maybe don’t share with y’all all the time: (1) that we’re living, eating and shortstacking on Unceded Coast Salish Territory and (2) that we know eating pancakes and listening to folks play music isn’t inherently radical but it’s got potential. If you ever have any thoughts about how we can work harder to make decolonization and anti-oppression part of our Sunday breakfasts, please let us know. Pancakes can be political too!
As always, gluten-free and vegan options available, all organic and homemade stuffs.
Sunday, July 1st, featuring:
KEVIN MATHESON, back in Vancouver for a spell to charm us with his gorgeous tunes. Take a listen here.
